The Lake Saint-Pierre Biosphere Region is a true ecological gem. Nicknamed “Quebec’s Amazon,” it stands out for the exceptional richness of its natural environments, the diversity of human activities taking place there, and the deep commitment of local communities to protecting and showcasing this remarkable territory.
This exhibition will be displayed in the Biophare’s temporary exhibition room from January 26th, 2026 until October 4th, 2026.
Located in the very heart of Quebec’s inhabited landscape, this fragile ecosystem faces growing concerns about its health, alongside a strong collective commitment to its protection.
Presented to mark the 25th anniversary of Lake Saint-Pierre’s designation as a UNESCO Biosphere Region, the exhibition highlights a place where life flourishes with the changing seasons—a landscape in search of balance, where humans and biodiversity must learn to coexist and thrive together.
