At the junction of the Richelieu and the St. Lawrence

Confluence offers a unique portrait of the territory where the Richelieu River meets the St. Lawrence River. This immersive and interactive exhibition reveals the many facets of the natural, cultural, and historical heritage of an exceptional place, internationally recognized as the Lake Saint-Pierre Biosphere Region.

Through an engaging experience, visitors are encouraged to help protect this environment, which is rich in biodiversity and home to the largest freshwater wetlands along the St. Lawrence River.

The exhibition showcases regional history, artistic creativity, and the remarkable biodiversity of these wetlands through evocative settings, multimedia installations, artifacts and ecofacts, aquariums, and numerous filmed interviews that awaken the senses and spark curiosity. Water serves as the guiding thread throughout the exhibition: a source of integration, inspiration, challenges, development, life, and influence.

A true tribute to the region, Confluence celebrates local pride and reflects the Biophare’s 30 years of expertise, creativity, and commitment to showcasing the region’s heritage.
